Are there membership fees?
To help us provide you with delivery and to help us with our overhead costs, we ask that you pay an annual fee of $10 per household for one calendar year. You are welcome to try us for one order before officially becoming one of Locally Crafted members.
How do I order?
We have changed our ordering. We are now open full time for your convenience, so you may order when the mood strikes!
Orders can be placed here on our website or by responding via e-mail.
Ordering through this web site is Locally Crafted’s preferred method as it is designed to reduce the amount of time it takes us to process orders as well as provide you with detailed information about our products.
When do I pay?
We accept cash or checks when you pick up your order. We do however accept PayPal advance payment on the website.
When and Where do I pick up my order?
We have begun a new system and will be making deliveries for local customers.
Why Support Locally Crafted?
Enhance your local economy: By purchasing handcrafted goods from local artisans and crafters you are providing stability to your local economy through the support of local businesses.
Save natural resources: Buying locally makes you an invaluable link in the process of saving resources such as fossil fuels and packaging materials. Also, we are right here in your community so the expense of transportation and delivery is kept to a minimum.
Provide learning opportunities: Locally Crafted supporters provide member crafters the means to help educate our community about the importance of what they are doing.
How can I sell through this market?
First, go through this mini checklist:
1.) Do you make your craft with your own hands?
2.) Is it made with natural materials wherever possible?
3.) Are you local to the greater Athens, Georgia area (within a 75 mile radius)?
If you’ve answered yes to all of these questions, then proceed:
If you’ve already created a customer account here, simply go to Our Crafters and click on ‘Join this Market’. This will add you to our system and our market managers will contact you with the next step. Here at Athens Locally Crafted we are focusing on offering artisanal products made with natural materials. We do take 20% of your overall sales. Like at a traditional artists market, you do get to set your own prices and list your items as you wish.
